Steve-o runs operations. Rachel manages relationships. Together, they specialize in one thing: taking short-term rentals that aren’t working and making them work.

Somos exists because Rachel and Steve-o can’t work for other people. That’s just the truth. They’re both wired the same way: detail oriented, a little picky, and genuinely invested in how things feel. Both went through periods of being a little lost. And somewhere in that, they started channeling energy into making homes that feel safe and good for people. Homes they’d actually want to stay in themselves. That’s where this business came from.
Rachel Lockhart, Co-founder
Rachel came into this work because she cares about how a space looks and feels. She has an art background and thinks hard about the details: what a guest notices when they walk in, how the amenities are set up, whether the whole experience actually feels good. She oversees client relationships and growth, and she’s deeply invested in how every property performs. When something falls short, she feels it. That drive is what keeps the standard high. She wants every investor to get the call where everything is finally working, and she builds toward that on every property.
What drives both of us
Somos was built for one type of client: the investor whose short-term rental isn’t performing. Underbooked, mismanaged, or never set up properly, we find what’s broken and fix it. That’s the work we love most.
Jon in Denver had invested heavily in renovations and couldn’t cover his costs. Now he’s covering his mortgage and turning a profit every month. Corneille in San Antonio is seeing much bigger returns with way less work. Lina in La Palma rests easy knowing her property is in good hands.
That’s the result we’re building toward with every property we take on.
